Care for Opal
- Please keep our opal away from water at all times, as they are porous, hydrophane opals and will lose color and clarity when exposed to large amounts of water. If your opal accidentally gets wet, dry its surface using a microfiber cloth and let it naturally air dry for 24 hours. This will help any absorbed water leave the stone and restore its color to its previous state without any cracking.
- Take extra care of your opal pieces as they have similar hardness as glass. Do not drop your opal on the ground as this can damage the stone. Remove your opal when doing physical activities such as workout, doing housework/gardening, etc.
